Evidently all the cricket based drama is not taking place on the field but at the box office too. At least the Bhatts would have you believe it.Their latest film Jannat, based on India's favourite sport cricket is doing better than anyone expected.
It is a welcome break from their string of flops. "Yes after long past season we won this time. It feels great," said Mahesh Bhatt.
"Last year was a low phase," said the lead actor Emraan Hashmi.
And while we may consider this a "silly point" the reason they're thrilled is that in the midst of the IPL, Jannat actually managed to get in the crowds.
"Jannat wins on IPL," said Emraan Hashmi. "If IPL has place under the sky, Jannat too has made its presence felt," said Mahesh Bhatt.
The Bhatts are best known for cashing in on controversies. So, why shouldn't they cash in on cricket too!
